    Editor’s note: This version corrects the date of the seminars. Montana State University Extension Service is hosting cropping seminars next week in Havre and Chester, both set for Tuesday. The seminars, which offer credits for private applicators and for commercial applicators, start at 9 a.m. with sessions from 9-10 a.m., 10-11 a.m., 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. People must bring their license numbers to receive credits.   • Local donations short on Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign

    The Havre Salvation Army has fallen short of its $32,000 goal in local donations, raising about $25,412 with its annual Red Kettle Campaign, but the campaign and the other programs for the holiday were still a success, Havre Salvation Army Social Services Director Trina Crawford said. “I think the community did an amazing job in helping us,” she said.   • New Year's Day crash leads to death, arrest

    A single-vehicle roll-over crash on Rodeo Drive outside of Harlem Wednesday left one 30-year-old woman dead and a 22-year-old man in police custody. The crash occurred at 4:14 a.m. Wednesday and the woman died later that day. Montana Highway Patrol reported that it is the second death resulting from a vehicle crash in the state in 2020.
