    A woman who is accused of breaking into a relative's home and stealing expensive jewelry was denied release until her scheduled trial.     A New Year's Eve fight between two brothers ended with one stabbing the other, according to court documents. Patrick John Riggins, born in 1983, was arrested on suspicion of partner or family member assault and his brother Jesse Salmonson, born in 1988, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a weapon and partner or family member assault.     Andrew Brekke, starting his third term on Havre City Council, is now starting his second term as council president. Without a word of dissent, Brekke was re-elected to the post Monday night, which puts him first in the line of succession behind Mayor Tim Solomon.     It was a quiet return to high school basketball this past weekend, but several area teams did get their 2016 schedule underway. The Class B Harlem Wildcats were one of those local teams to play last Saturday night, as both the Harlem boys and girls took on Cut Bank.
