  • Commission approves contract for new Marden Campground outhouse

    At their weekly business meeting Thursday, the Hill County Commission voted unanimously on a contract with Frank Leeds Construction to build a concrete outhouse at the Marden Campground for $10,200. Hill County Commissioner Diane McLean said half of the project will be covered with funds given to them by the Marden family, and the other half will be covered with insurance money the county obtained due to wind damage to the existing outhouse.     Havre High School senior Audrina Williams received a $1,000 scholarship from Reach Higher Montana, one of only 30 of its kind given out in the state this year. Williams, who is also a student at Montana State University-Northern taking dual-credit courses, was presented the scholarship Tuesday.
