    Sondra Ashton|Updated Aug 11, 2023

Life. Huh. It is hard not to label things, situations. Oh, that is bad. Oh, that is good. We don’t really know if what we call bad might not be really good. Hey, voice of experience here. I can tell you what I think, hope, fear, all conjecture. I think my son has lost his last w...

  • Out Our Way: Of spurs and quirts

    Updated Aug 11, 2023

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Out our way, reasoning with jug-headed cows and mule-headed horses is considered a waste of time. You can train a horse up to point and some are pretty sharp. Ole Doc didn't need much help - except he never could get the hang of his left lead - but, every now and then, he had to be "educated" as to who was boss. Now, there was a time when some - I will presume they were city folks from back East - started making headlines by claiming the wearing of spurs...

The lad gently removed the one little foot that was trapped in a tiny crack, lifted the little foot from the crack; immediately the bird flew away, he was free. "I thanked...
