LOUISE “BLONDIE” HELLIE obituary

Louise "Blondie" Hellie passed away Friday, April 30, in a local nursing home. She was born in Butte, June 11, 1943, to Oscar and Margaret (Head) Steward. She attended schools in Butte and worked as a maid at the Capri Motel and the Max Motel. She also worked in area restaurants. She lived in Havre for 15 years and returned to Butte in March 2007 to live with her daughter. She was incredibly generous with her time and did a large amount of volunteer work, especially at the Havre Senior Center. She loved shopping, enjoyed listening to music and camping and had many hobbies including crocheting, talking on the phone and watching TV with her eyes closed. Louise married three times, and all three husbands preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her parents; a sister; a brother; and three sons. Survivors include her sister, Betty (Bob) Stollenmyer of Portland, Ore.; brothers, Jim (LaVonna) Steward of Lima, Ohio, and Gene Steward of Flint, Mich.; son, Jim (Mel) Campbell of Vaughn, Mont.; daughter, Marie (Joe) Reed of Butte; daughter-in-law, Lindi Campbell of Malta; grandchildren, Teresa Reed of Butte, Bobby (Roxy) Reed of Butte, Tina (Chris) Garner of Great Falls, Justin Campbell of Great Falls, Dustin of Vaughn, Patrick Campbell of Butte, Jimmy and Cody Campbell of Malta; and great-grandchildren, Taysha Reed, Halee Garland and Chase Garland of Butte, and Kenzie Reed, Keena Reed and Kenidi Reed of Malta. Cremation has taken place in Butte. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in Wayrynen- Richards Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Mosslander officiating. Interment of ashes will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
