Community pulled together for Christmas dinner

Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the many people and organizations who came together to make the Community Christmas Dinner a success.

There are so many who are deserving of a thank-you. There is no way we can list them all without overlooking someone. Please know that whatever your part, you were most appreciated and valued.

Thank your for your community spirit.

Thanks to those from PJs staff and the many community members who gave their Christmas Day to help us host the meal.

Thanks to Robert O'Leary who came to PJs at 4 a.m. to help with the cooking and preparation and stayed until the last clean-up was complete.

Thanks to all the many community members who prepared food, packaged and delivered meals, took reservations, sat the the donation table, cleaned up and all the things that are required to make and serve 670 meals.

Thank you to the following organizations and individuals for their generous donations:

  • Sysco Montana
  • Devon Energy Ambassadors
  • Havre Trap Club
  • The Haldeman family
  • Hill County Tavern Association
  • Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Montana
  • The Eagles Club and volunteers
  • Meadow Gold
  • North Central Senior Center
  • Those who made donations and requested anonymity

This year, we delivered 240 meals to community members and their families who could not get to the dinner. We also served 430 meals at the Eagles Club where the dinner was served and people gathered for camaraderie with family and friends, old and new.

Your commitment to the community is an invaluable asset to us, and we are sincerely grateful.

Jerry, Robert and Scott Bergren
