Wildcats thrive on Malta's mats

The Harlem Wildcats wrapped up their wrestling regular season Saturday at the Malta Invitational. The Wildcats, ranked fifth in Class B-C, sent four wrestlers in the Malta Invite finals and came away with two individual titles.

Placers for the Wildcats were: Shay Snider who won the championship by defeating Dylan Stewart of Havre at 112 pounds, Gus Taylor, who took second place losing, to Jake Shawver of Glasgow at 119 pounds and T'Jay Allen, who defeated Austin Spence of Shepherd to take third place at 119 pounds. Teague Jones won the Championship at 125 pounds by defeating Gage Currier of Colstrip, and Seth Adams took second place at 215 pounds losing to Owen DeBruycker of Choteau.

Teague Jones was voted the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.

Harlem, Chinook, Big Sandy and Chester/J-I will all be in action at the Northern B-C Divisional tournament Saturday in Chester. The B-C state tourney is set for Feb. 8-9 in Billings.
