Lights knock off nationally-ranked Bulldogs

Make it three in a row for the Montana State University-Northern Lights. And the third one was the biggest. On Saturday in Dillon, the Lights beat No. 15 UM-Western 33-21, improved to 4-1 on the season and earned a share of first place in the Frontier Conference standings.

A huge second quarter catapulted the Lights on Saturday. The Lights blocked two punts and scored three rushing TD's in the quarter to take a 23-7 lead into halftime over the previously unbeaten Bulldogs. Western scored twice in the third stanza, but MSU-N sealed the game with Zach McKinley's third touchdown midway through the fourth period.

The Lights are back on the road this Saturday at Rocky Mountain College.
