Frances I. Miranda

Frances I. Miranda, 83, passed away Aug. 25, 20, at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook, Montana, from natural causes. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m., at Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook. Condolences may be left for the family at edwardsfuneralhomemt.com.

Frances was born to Paul and Irene Kleinjan on Dec. 9, 1930, in Chinook, Montana. She attended elementary school at North Yantic rural school and high school at Chinook High School. She married Ralph Miranda June 24, 1961. To this union two children, David Miranda and Donna Miranda, were born. The family lived in Hanford, California, until her husband's passing on Jan. 24, 1971, at which time she moved back to Chinook to be closer to family. Frances was a dedicated mother, homemaker and babysitter. Many of the children she watched, now adults, still talk about memories of her as their babysitter. She loved live entertainment and attended most music programs held in the schools and at community events. Visiting with people was another great enjoyment for her. She loved it when people would stop by to visit, keeping them at her house as long as possible. She was very caring, offering any kind of help to those in need. She always remembered your birthday, with either a phone call or a card. Frances attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, rarely missing a Sunday service until her health prevented her from doing so.

Frances is survived by her children, David (Tracy) Miranda and Donna Miranda; grandchildren, Darcy Molenda, Nikki Miranda, Katelyn Scott, Juli Seaman and Lauren Seaman; three siblings, Arthur Kleinjan, Marvin Kleinjan and Mary Preeshl; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband. Ralph; father, Paul; and mother, Irene.

"Gramma" Frances was a little lady with an enormous heart. Memorials may be made to one's choice.
