Obituary - Michael "Mike" Lavenger

On Sept. 22, 2014, our beloved father, son and brother Louis Michael Lavenger, "Mike," went to be with the Lord.  Rosary will be Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at 7 p.m. , at Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook.  Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at 1 p.m., at the St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook. Mike was born Sug. 7, 1956, to James and Elizabeth Lavenger in Havre, Montana, and grew up in Chinook, Montana.  He was a member of the Little Shell Tribe. Mike loved spending time with family and friends and telling stories.

Mike had a great sense of humor which he was known for.  Mike enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing and camping.

In the late '70s, he served in the National Guard. Mike always fancied himself as a great chef. Mike's smile was contagious and he would give the shirt off his back.   Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and James Lavenger; grandson, Trefvis; his sister, Gloria Williams and her husband, Robert Williams; and sister-in-law, Wilma Lavenger.  

Mike leaves behind his children, Dustin, Michelle, Carmileta, Danielle, Michael, Harmony and April; siblings. Eddy, Edie (Jack), Phyllis, Ruby (Charles), Elaine, Bill, Gary, Betty, Bob, Karen, Cheryl and Jack (Caren); and numerous grandchildren.
