Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Dane Warp, Havre High Football

Havre High junior quarterback Dane Warp has put up big numbers all season long. He’s had a 400-yard passing game against Glendive, and 300-yard plus games against Miles City and Livingston. But it’s Warp’s body of work that’s made his season, and the last two weeks so special. In wins over Polson and Browning, Warp has thrown eight touchdowns with an off-the-charts completion percentage of over 80 percent. His quarterback rating for the season is a stellar 121.1 and to date, he’s thrown for over 2,000 yards and 26 TDs. Warp, a two-time All-State QB, is also an All-State basketball player for the Ponies.

Katelyn Neibauer, Chinook Volleyball

The Chinook volleyball team is heading into the postseason undefeated, and with high hopes of winning a Class C state championship. Senior Katelyn Neibauer is certainly a big part of that. In helping the Beeters finish off their undefeated regular season, Neibauer tallied four blocks and five aces in a win over Chester/J-I last week. Neibauer, a basketball standout for Chinook, added a team-high eight kills, to go along with two blocks in a win over Box Elder in the regular season finale last Saturday night in Box Elder. Neibauer has played for the Beeters volleyball team for four years.
