Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Tate Niederegger, Chinook Wrestling

The CMR Holiday Classic is as tough a wrestling tournament as there is in Montana. But Chinook's Tate Niederegger made it look easy this past weekend. For the second time in three weeks, Niederegger bested GFH freshman Jordan Komac in a final, only this time, it was the 132-pound final at the prestigious CMR event. Niederegger, who also has a Havre Invite title to his credit and is unbeaten this season, helped the Class C Sugarbeeters to a 16th-place finish in Great Falls. He was also a standout on the football field this fall.

Lita Cammon, Havre Swimming

Havre High junior Lita Cammon was injured for much of the 2013-14 swimming season. But she's making up for lost time now. Cammon got her season off to a strong start at the Dec. 13 Havre Invitational, but she really kicked it into high gear this past weekend in Great Falls. Cammon captured first place in the 100 freestyle at Friday's Great Falls Pre Relay Meet. The standout also finished second in the 200 free, recording two of her best times of her career in the process. Cammon also swims relays for the Blue Pony girls.
