Hi-Line United Soccer pancake breakfast set for Sunday

Hi-Line United Soccer will hold a pancake breakfast and silent auction fundraiser Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 202 1st St..

The cost for the breakfast is a free-will donation.

Dana Pyette, a parent volunteer, said the proceeds from this event will go toward the club.

“The club is raising money for several different things,” she said. “One of the main things would be new equipment. We’re in need of new goals for our field.”

Pyette said there are about 40 participants who are part of Hi-Line United Soccer.

“We have a foreign exchange student, we have kids from the Hi-Line playing ...,” she said. “They really learn to communicate as a team, they learn to work together — develop relationships that they (wouldn’t have) otherwise.”

So far, many items have been donated for the silent auction, including a picnic pack from Havre Hardware and a soccer ball from Athlete’s Foot.

Pyette added that people are welcome to donate items for the silent auction as well.

For more information, people can call Pyette at 945-1359.
