HCE mailing capital credit checks

Press release

Hill County Electric Cooperative has announced that it will be mailing out capital credit checks to current and former cooperative members.  HCE’s Board of Trustees has authorized a general retirement of capital credits totaling close to $110,000.

This general retirement is comprised of 10 percent of the remaining capital credit balances for 1984 and ½ of 1 percent of the capital credit balances for the years 1985 through 2013. The amount of each check varies based on how much business the member did with HCE during the years being retired. Checks will be mailed to members the end of April.

HCE is also searching for members who have unclaimed patronage capital credits due to an insufficient address.  The unclaimed capital credit list is available at http://www.HillCountyElectric.coop under the “Membership” tab.

People can contact HCE’s Capital Credit Representative at 394-7804 with any questions.

Hill County Electric Cooperative was incorporated in 1945 and provides high quality, reliable and safe electric services and associated products to 2,379 members over 3,370 miles of line in five north central Montana counties.

HCE is headquartered in Havre and also provides master electrician services, an electrical supply warehouse, energy audits, electrical safety demonstrations and various scholarship and youth programs.
