Obituary - Dana James Stanley (Day-Eagle)

Dana James Stanley (Day-Eagle), 49, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, May 3, 2015, on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.

His wake service began at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015, followed by his funeral service at 10 a.m. on May 5, 2015, both held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy.

Burial will be held at Parker Family Cemetery.

Dana was born on Feb. 2, 1966, in Havre, to Daniel and Gilda (Eagleman) Stanley. He attended school in Rocky Boy and went to Kicking Horse Job Corps. He was a cross country runner. He enjoyed beading and breaking and riding horses just for fun. He loved traveling with his grandparents all over the lower states.

Dana was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Stanley; and his grandparents, James and Gladys Stanley and Edward and Rosie (Walking Child) Eagleman.

He is survived by his mother, Gilda Stanley of Rocky Boy; sisters, Annie, Gladys, Danelle, Alanna Jo; brothers, Steve, Indian Leider, Nathan (Spooky) and Udell Cly, of Sheridan, Oregon; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
