Havre's Lindbloom to play golf at MCC

Havre High is producing plenty of college athletes again this year, and Blue Pony senior Wyatt Lindbloom is among them.

Miles Community College head golf coach Chase Tait recently announced that Lindbloom has committed to play for the Pioneers next fall.

Lindbloom has been a three-sport standout at HHS since arriving in Havre for his sophomore year of school. He played two years of varsity golf for head coach Brett Gilman. In 2013 and 2014, Lindbloom helped his golf team qualify for the Class A State Tournament. He comes to MCC with an 85 average after competing on the links the last two seasons.. He was named as the Most Improved Golfer in 2014.

Lindbloom was also a two-year letter-winner in basketball for head coach Curt Leeds and is currently in his third season as a varsity tennis player for head coach George Ferguson’s squad. In 2014, Lindbloom earned Central A All-Conference honors in tennis.

Also the senior class president this school year, Lindbloom plans on majoring in business with an emphasis in agriculture/international at MCC.

“The small town atmosphere of Miles City and the individual attention students receive from the faculty and staff attracted me to MCC. I enjoyed playing and was impressed with the golf course.” Lindbloom said of why he chose MCC.

Lindbloom is the son of Lance and Michelle Lindbloom.
