Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Jerod Boles/Noah Landgraf, Havre Tennis

The Havre High tennis team has a tradition of winning doubles championships at the Central A divisional tournament. And Blue Pony senior Noah Landgraf and junior Jerod Boles continued that tradition this past weekend in Bozeman. Boles and Landgraf captured the Central A doubles title Friday afternoon, beating Livingston's Noble Vance and Collin Gannon in three sets in the championship match. Landgraf, a four-year letter winner in tennis, and Boles, a three-year letter winner and basketball and golf standout, are now headed to the Class A state meet this week.

Dani Wagner, Havre Softball

Havre junior Dani Wagner, already an All-State volleyball and basketball player this school year, was called into pitching duty for the HHS softball team at the start of the season. And, when Havre's season was on the line, she didn't disappointment. Wagner pushed HHS into the state tournament by allowing Lewistown just four hits and two runs in a huge Central A tournament win last Friday night in Lewistown. The win clinched the berth for the Ponies, while Wagner was also a stellar 4-for-8 at the plate in two key games at the divisional tournament.
