Obituary - Steven Edward Formanack

Steven Edward Formanack, 52, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Steve's Life will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Pepin Park. Steve was born on February 19, 1963, in Havre to Arthur and Wilma (Nolan) Formanack. He was raised in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1982.

In 1985, Steve married Janet Walters. Not long after they married, the couple moved to Arizona for work. One beloved daughter was born to this union. Steve began a landscaping business, and worked hard to maintain its success for many years. The couple later divorced, but Steve remained close to his daughter.

He returned to Havre in 2001, and worked as a handyman, remodeling homes, until he moved to Great Falls in 2010, where he worked for Montana Specialty Mills until his death.

Steve enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, and socializing with family and friends. He was an incredible conversationalist, and very talented at storytelling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Wilma Formanack, and his infant sister, Patti Jo Formanack.

Steve is survived by his beloved daughter, Alicia Formanack of California; his sisters Sandy (Bill) Evans of Havre, and JoAnne (Jim) Goebel of Butte; his nieces, Holly Cartwright and Sheri Goebel; his nephew, Marshall Cartwright; several cousins; his former wife, Janet Formanack of Arizona; and his former mother-in-law, Diane Walters of Havre.
