Darrell Duane Black Wolf

Darrell Duane Black Wolf (WAPI KIHIW AWASIS- White Eagle Child) – (WAMBLI SKA- White Eagle), 47, of Hays, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, in Fort Belknap, surrounded by family and friends. Wake services began at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at St. Paul’s Mission Rec Center in Hays, and will continue until his funeral, which will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 14 2015, at St. Paul’s Mission Church. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Mission Center Cemetery. Duane was born on July 24, 1968 ,in Fort Belknap to Jeb Stiffarm and Georgia Black Wolf of Hays. He was raised in Rocky Boy by his mother and stepfather Daniel Denny. He was a proud enrolled member of the Ft. Belknap Reservation and active in Tthe Native American Church.

Duane was a certified nason, certified corrections officer and worked in many other fields as well. He helped others with whatever they needed.

Duane spent a lot of time with his uncle Richard and aunt Martha King. Twenty years ago he was reunited with his spouse, Chantel. He had two children Flint and Darrellyn Black Wolf,  three step-children Tristin (Spencer) Cochran, Leon King, Kelly Heally and adopted son John Haakanson.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by love of his life Chantel King; his brothers Michael (Joyce) Black Wolf of Hayes, Golden and Danson Denny of Rocky Boy; sisters, Larissa Denny of Rocky Boy, Dara( Albert) Shell of Hays, and Wendy Stiffarm of Browning; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
