Havre Police Department

Jacob James Bauer, 33, of Havre was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt after a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation at the police station Monday at 7:31 a.m.

Samuel Clearance Wells, 58, of Havre was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass to property after an Assiniboine Avenue caller reported a man was walking back and forth on the residence's porch Monday at 8:33 a.m.

Officers investigated a pickup truck that had the steering column and ignition broken after a someone called from a 1st Street business Monday at 10:09 a.m.

Officers arrested Patrick John Riggins, 32, of Benton County, Washington, on two state District Court warrants after someone called Monday at 12:43 p.m. with a “question for officer in how to evict someone.”

An arrest was made by officers after a warrant was served at Hill County Courthouse Monday at 2:24 p.m. No further information was provided.

Officers investigated a 3:16 p.m. Monday report of possible drug praphernalia found at a 1st Street Northeast residence.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call that was made Monday at 6:43 p.m. and made an arrest. No further information was provided.

Timothy Ryan Smith, 33, of Havre was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt at 10:20 a.m. Monday at the police station, in relation to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation.

During a motor vehicle stop at 12:47 a.m. today on 1st Street West, Ryan Samuel Sangrey, 31, of Havre was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant, and Austin Cole Morsette, 24, of Box Elder was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, failure to carry or produce proof of insurance and speeding.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies did not investigate or make any arrests Monday.

Havre Fire Department

Fire crews responded to a call Monday at 8:48 p.m. on the 10 Block of 86th Avenue West to investigate a large amount of smoke. Fire crews found that the smoke was coming from a chimney and everything at the residence was fine. No further action was required.

Fire crews responded to a call Monday at 9:39 p.m. on the 700 Block of 1st Street, where a carbon monoxide alarm went off. Fire department personnel used their instruments and found that there was no trace of carbon monoxide in the air. NorthWestern Energy also confirmed the results, concluding that the detector was faulty.
