A thank you to a caring community

Editor:

I wanted to take this opportunity to comment on a very special group of people you have in your community at Northern Montana Care Center.

My mother, Delores Hutchison, passed away at Northern Montana Care Center on Dec. 9. She had been a patient for the past couple of years and had declined rapidly around Thanksgiving. Although I live in southern California, I was able to visit her in the Care Center. I was deeply touched by the care and attention she was given by the staff and nurses. The staff was very attentive and did everything they could do to make her passing as painless and peaceful as possible.

While I was visiting, I observed that each time they checked in on my mother, they would go out of their way to ask me if I needed anything. My reply was for them to keep doing what they were doing in taking care of my mother. That is what I needed the most, and they gave it, caringly and lovingly.

One of the nurses even came in on her off day to check on my mother. I wish I knew all of the names of the staff involved and the nurses so I could thank each of them personally, but then I would miss someone. I was deeply touched and grateful, and I want to publicly thank them.

Your community is truly blessed to have such an outstanding facility and staff. It is not present everywhere. I want to thank them so much, and let them know publicly they are blessed and special.
