Quake rocks Nationals

Another weekend, and another tough road trip for the Glacier Nationals.

The Nationals, of the Frontier Division of the NA3HL, dropped a pair of road decisions to the Yellowstone Quake over the weekend, as their difficult losing streak drug on.

On Friday night, the Nationals succumbed to 66 shots from the Quake, in a 9-1 loss. Nick Greene was all over the ice for Yellowstone, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Yellowstone's 9-1 win over Glacier. Greene scored at 4:34 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Yellowstone and again while short handed 16:12 into the second to make the score 5-0 Yellowstone.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Max Doner, who also registered one goal and one assist, Tony Dahlberg, who grabbed one goal and one assist, Reed Kelly, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Manuel Manero, who also had one goal and one assist, and Matt Runyon, who also registered one goal and one assist. Yellowstone also got a goal from Curtis Greenbush as well. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Nicholas Elliot, Nick Pizzey, Justin Berezinski and Nick Ligocki, who contributed one each and Cosimo Yapello, Mason Stewart, Will Landsverk, and Tristan Henrichs, who each chipped in two. Collin Scheiman scored the lone goal for the Nationals. Glacier's Mikhail Pahrebets stopped 57 shots out of the 66 that he faced. Glacier incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.

Things didn’t get any better for the Nationals Saturday night as they lost to the Quake 9-2. Logan Craft and Wyatt Fretheim found the back of the net for the Nationals, but it wasn’t nearly enough as the Quake poured 70 shots on Glacier’s goal.

The Nationals (2-39-2) are right back on the road this weekend as they travel to Bozeman for a pair of Frontier Division games. The Nationals also visit Helena March 11 before playing their final home game March 12, also against the Bighorns.
