This week on Yellowstone Public Radio:

Sunday — 7 p.m.: “L’Orfeo,” Monteverdi’s version of Gluck’s story of Orphee, from the Torroella de Montgri Music Festival in Spain, on “World of Opera.”

Monday — 2 p.m.: Having been a part of five decades on the New York jazz scene, bassist, lyricist and singer Jay Leonhart is guest on “Piano Jazz.”

Tuesday — 7 p.m.: Uruguayan-born composer Elbio Barilari shares the sound, culture and history of classical music in Latin America on “Fiesta!” 

Wednesday — 8 p.m.: Jaap van Zweden leads the Dallas Symphony in Wagner’s Prelude from “Tristan & Isolde,” and Bruckner’s “Romantic Symphony.”

Thursday — 8 p.m.: An exploration of the evolution of writer Simone de Beauvoir’s existential-ethical thinking on “Philosophy Talk.”

Friday — 2 p.m.: A survey of today’s vibrant jazz scene, with new releases from emerging artist and living legends on “Jazz Happening Now.”

Saturday — 7 a.m.-1 p.m.: From legendary veterans to newcomers playing clubs, musicians tell their stories on “Country Fried Rock.”
