Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Jase Stokes, Havre High Football

Talk about getting your senior year off on the right foot. Havre High's Jase Stokes did that and more Saturday in Havre's 18-6 season-opening win in Whitefish. Stokes rushed for a whopping 281 yards, scored three touchdowns and had 305 total yards of offense in helping HHS knock off the Class A defending state champions. The three-time Class A state champion wrestler and Class A All-State linebacker was also everywhere on defense for the Ponies, who won the BNSF Trophy for the first time in four years.

Teagan Fee, Havre High Golf

Havre High sophomore Teagan Fee is getting her second season of high school golf off on the right foot for sure. After a strong showing at the season-opening Great Falls Invitational, Fee has posted three straight Top 5 finishes, including a second place at the Havre Invitational back on Aug. 18. Fee also finished Top 5 at the Belgrade Invitational and last Thursday's Browning Invitational. Fee was a Class A state qualifier a year ago for the Ponies, and she also competes on the Havre High girls tennis team.
