Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Kadia Miller, Havre High Cross Country

Talk about making a splash. Havre High freshman Kadia Miller wasted little time in making her presence felt on the Blue Pony cross country team. Last Friday, Miller, competing in her first high school meet, finished 14th in the Cut Bank Time Trials, a meet that features Class AA GFH and CMR, as well as Class A powerhouse Browning, among others. Miller finished the race in 20:46, an outstanding time. She and the Blue Ponies travel to Malta for the Malta Invitational this Saturday.

Dustin Haas, Havre High Golf

Even with a week off, it’s been a really good start to the 2016 golf season for Havre High senior Dustin Haas. He’s already won the Havre Invitational, and has three Top 5 finishes to his credit. Haas’ performance at the Havre Invite last month at Prairie Farms Golf Course marked the third time he’s either tied or shot the low round in that tournament in what has been an excellent golf career. Haas, who was an All-State performer a year ago, also competes for the Blue Pony tennis team.
