Hill County Justice Court, August 2016

The following cases were resolved in Hill County Justice Court by Judge Audrey Barger in Aug. 30 to Sept. 13.

Bridgit Raye Cowan, born in 1989, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Collin Raymond Frey Carlson, born in 1992, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, third or subsequent offense.

Owen Zachery Russette, born in 1989, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for sexual assault.

——

Peter James Hernandez, born in 1984, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Bethany Ashley Neuwerth, born in 1992, was fined $350 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, second offense, amended from first offense.

Randi Joseph Dibblee, born in 1959, was fined $750 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 suspended and two credited, for driving under the influence, first offense, amended from aggravated DUI, first offense.

Karis Rachelle Bear, born in 1992, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Johnathan Phillip Walker, born in 1989, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Joyce Marie Huntley, born in 1946, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for driving without a valid driver’s license, has never possessed one.

Chadwick John Gallagher, born in 1993, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Joseph Paul Small, born in 1986, was fined $350 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, second offense.

——

Darrell B. Kohl, born in 1966, forfeited $100 bond for failing to follow conditions and requirements of special permit.

——

Quintan Kash Boos, born in 1995, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

——

Randy J. Waldner, born in 1995, forfeited $250 fine for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Jordan Wesley Rettig, born in 1985, was fined $100 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 360 days suspended and four credited, for fleeing from or eluding a peace officer and was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Judge Barger also dealt with 20 tickets resulting in fines of less than $100 or jail sentences of fewer than seven days, and she or the prosecution dismissed nine charges. Barger transferred three citations to another court and held four probable cause hearings for cases out of her jurisdiction. Additionally, one suspended sentences or deferred impositions of sentencing was revoked and reinstated and three probation and parole violations went before the judge.
