Applications for arts installations and events along the Hi-Line sought

Press release

Opportunity Link Inc. was awarded an Our Town grant in October 2015 through the National Endowment for the arts to support the Hi-Line Art Trail program which focuses on mapping of arts assets, creating a mobile application to increase arts based tourism and support creative placemaking, and support new arts installations and events.

Preliminary planning has been completed with the help of ArtSpot in Malta and Opportunity Link now is requesting applications for arts installations or events from communities, artists, and organizations in north-central Montana.

Applications can be submitted by individual artists, community groups, or other organizations interested in creating an arts installation or event.

Applications are due no later than Jan. 15. A regional advisory council will evaluate all applications and choose three to six projects to fund. The strongest applications will include community partnerships, reasonable funding plan, and match in the form of cash or in-kind.

Communities are also looking for volunteers to help with other aspects of this program including locating arts resources, participating in planning for the communities, and engaging artists for creative placemaking.

For more information about how people can become involved in their community and to request an installation or event application, people can email Rosie Goldich at [email protected] or Andi Daniel at [email protected] or call 265- 3699.
