FWP citizen council talking in Havre to legislators

The local regional advisory council to the state agency that manages land and wildlife in Montana is inviting legislators to a Dec. 14 discussion in Havre.

Fish, Wildlife and Parks said in a press release its Region 6 Citizen Advisory Council is convening in Havre from 1 to 5 p.m. that day at Best Western Havre Inn and Suites for a special legislative meeting.

Each of FWP’s seven administrative regions has a volunteer CAC to help guide policies and programs. The Region 6 group meets three times a year.  For more information about the Region 6 Citizen Advisory Committee, people can visit the FWP website at fwp.mt.gov/regions/r6/cac/.

The Havre meeting is open to the public, and state senators and representatives in the region have been invited as well.  The main purpose of this meeting is for the department to share with legislators and CAC members the legislative proposals supported by FWP, and to answer any questions on these or other related topics, the press release said.

The meeting will include department updates and an open session for questions and discussions.
