Blowin' off the snow

Forecast calls for warmer weather, more snow

After a week of bitter cold where the high temperatures rarely crept higher than 10 degrees and the low was consistently below zero, forecasters are calling for warmer weather - at least until the holiday weekend.

Weather Service reports that, along with the cold temperatures, the reporting station at the Havre City-County Airport recorded nearly 7 inches of snow so far this month. Forecasts for the next few days call for flurries of snow at most, while highs are expected in the 30s and 40s through Thursday with lows in the 20s.

The weather is expected to turn colder again Friday, with a high of 27 degrees and a low of 11 with later highs in the teens and lows again below zero.
