Chamber annual meeting set for next week

Big Sandy organic farmer, researcher and business owner Bob Quinn will be the featured speaker at the 108th Annual Havre Area Chamber of Commerce meeting and luncheon  Wednesday Jan. 18.

Debbie Vandeberg, executive director of the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce, said members of the general public are invited to attend the luncheon that will take place in the Olympic Room of the Duck Inn in Havre.

Quinn is  the founder and president of Kumut International, Big  Sandy Organics and Quinn Farms. Vandeberg said Quinn will talk about being creative and looking for new opportunities in business.

She said there should be time after Quinn’s speech where audience members can ask him questions.

Vandeberg said the meeting is a big deal because it offers the Chamber a chance to talk up its past year of accomplishments and recognize Chamber volunteers.

New and existing board members, as well as the Chamber’s new president, Joe Ross of Cavalier’s Men & Boy’s Wear, will all be introduced.

A full lunch will also be served to people at the meeting, Vandeberg said.

General admission is $20 for Chamber members and employees, and $25 for the general public.

People are asked to RSVP by Friday Jan. 13 by contacting the Chamber at 265-4383 or by email at [email protected].
