Clerk and Recorders offer scholarships

Press release

The Montana Association of Clerk and Recorders is again sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior who will be attending an in-state college or university. The last day of acceptance of applications is March 17.

Application forms are available from the guidance counselor at local schools or from the county Clerk and Recorders Office. For more information in Hill County, people can call 265-5481, ext. 223.

The application forms must be received by Clerk and Recorder Susan Armstrong no later than Friday, March 17, and will be judged on the basis of need, scholarship and school and civic involvement.

Final judging will be completed by May 1 to select the statewide winner and alternate. A certificate will be issued to the winner of the scholarship on awards day at the student’s school. The payment will be made directly to the college or university of choice after the student’s acceptance.
