Officers investigated a noninjury motor vehicle crash after it was reported by a caller at 16th Street and Cypress Drive Wednesday at 4:49 p.m.

Officers investigated a disturbance and issued a summons after a First Avenue caller reported Wednesday at 4:56 p.m. that they were assaulted by a male and their vehicle keys taken. No further information was provided.

Officers investigated a theft report after a Second Street caller reported Wednesday at 7:23 p.m. that his apartment was broken into.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies made two arrests after a Bitterroot caller reported Wednesday at 9:24 p.m. a domestic disturbance. Rick Valdez of Havre, 40, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault, kidnapping and criminal destruction of or tampering with communication device. Robert James Cantrell of Box Elder, 42, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant.

Deputies investigated a theft, forgery or fraud report after a 34th Street Southeast caller made a report Wednesday at 5:37 p.m.

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Wednesday.

The animal shelter held Thursday morning a brown weimaraner-pit bull mix and a tan and black German shepherd.
