Ice Hawks beat Generals two more times

Make it four in a row for the Havre Ice Hawks high school hockey team — as in not only four straight wins, but four straight against the Miles City Generals.

After sweeping the Generals in the Havre Ice Dome last weekend, the Ice Hawks made the trip to Miles City for a pair of games Saturday and Sunday, and the result was the same, with Havre winning both affairs.

Saturday, the Ice Hawks continued their fine offensive play in a 7-4 win over the Generals. Havre had 56 shots on goal, scoring three times in the first period, three in the second and one more in the third. Ethan Roberts led the way for Havre with a hat trick, plus one. He scored three unassisted goals, and also on an assist from Clifford Lenhardt. Cole Hanson had a big game as well, scoring a goal and dishing out two assists on Trent Shettel goals.

Defensively, Havre faced just 27 Miles City shots, and Kinzee Peterson stopped 23 between the pipes for the Ice Hawks.

The two teams then had a rematch Sunday morning, but nothing changed as Havre again won 7-4. Peterson was again strong in net, stopping 19 Miles City shots.

Roberts also continued his scorching play with two unassisted goals. The Ice Hawks also got a hat trick from Hanson, who scored on assists from Jeffrey Ralph, Lenahrdt and Donovan McLain and Kyle Kirkpatrick. Ralph and Kirkpatrick also put shots in the back of the net in Sunday's game, while Roberts, Shettel and Noah Kirsch notched assists.

With its four-game winning streak, the Ice Hawks are right back on the road this weekend, playing a pair of games in Billings.
