Havre Police Department

Officers investigated an animal control report after a caller from Northern Montana Hospital reported Wednesday at 8:50 a.m. that someone was bit by a dog.

Officers investigated a non-injury motor vehicle crash after an 18th Street caller reported Wednesday at 3:29 p.m. that a white Oldsmobile and a white Intrigue had collided.

Officers investigated a non-injury motor vehicle crash after receiving a call Wednesday at 5:01 p.m. from a caller near Fifth Street and Seventh Avenue who reported that a red Avalanche and Dodge pickup truck had collided.

Valerie Rose Knoll of Havre, 45, was arrested on a theft charge after a business caller reported near First Street Wednesday at 7:11 p.m. that a passenger was refusing to pay.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated a burglary report after a U.S. Highway 2 Northeast business caller reported Wednesday at 12:27 p.m. that a storage unit had been broken into.

Deputies investigated an assault report after a caller east of Havre reported Wednesday at 1:27 p.m. getting “assaulted by another male.”

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Wednesday and one today.

Fire crews responded to a call Wednesday at 6:52 p.m. at the 400 Block of Seventh Avenue North where a vehicle had caught on fire, possible due to a type of malfunction related to plugging it in. The entire front end was engulfed and the estimated damage incurred was $3,500. No one was injured and no one died.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held Thursday morning a black terrier mix, a tan and white Jack Russell terrier mix and a small red terrier mix.
