Tab was born Sept. 7, 1947, in Sidney, Montana, the son of Jess and Laura Angstman. Tab was raised in Havre, which was his life-long residence. After graduating from Havre High School, he joined the military for a short time. Following his discharge, he returned to Havre and married Mary Thill. They divorced a few years later.

Tab worked at Angstman Motors until the business was sold in 1979. He then went to work for Big Bud. Tab never lost his interest in speed and the thrill of driving race cars. In his younger years, he raced go-karts and had numerous trophies showing his success.

Tab was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Laura Angstman; his son, Eloy Angstman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his sister, Darlene Angstman Dowen, and her husband, Jim Dowen; his nephew, Todd Dowen, and wife, Terri; and his niece, Pamela Dowen Sundene, and husband, Eric Sundene, along with special great-nephew, Mitchell Sundene.

His friends Ron and Patty Harmon were his caretakers during his long illness as well as Tim Harmon. They were like family to Tab.

Tab loved his friends and the community of Havre. He was often seen walking down main street and acknowledging people as he passed by them. He also attended many funerals and visited with families of his friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and special friends who made his last months worth living.
