Obituary - Joycelyn M. Favel

Joycelyn M. Favel, 61, passed away due to natural causes at her Rocky Boy residence July 6, 2017.

Wake services were Friday, July 7, 2017, and her funeral service was Saturday, July 8, 2017, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Joycelyn was born in Fort Belknap Dec. 14, 1955, to Robert and Joanne (CarryWater) Favel Sr. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending schools there. Following her high school years, Joycelyn and George Chandler Jr. had three children. They later separated, and she moved to Seattle, Washington, living there for quite a number of years, before returning to Rocky Boy soon after 2000. 

Joycelyn was a feisty little lady who enjoyed beading, cooking and playing the machines. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed spending time with her many friends and chatting with just about anyone.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joanne Favel Sr .; her brothers Randy and Terry Favel; her sister Peggy Favel; her nephews Denver Buckman and Ben LaRose; and her great-nephew Shooter LaRose.

Joycelyn is survived by her children, Cora Chandler (Dylan Black Eagle) of Billings, Kelly Ann Chandler, Lawrence, Kansas, and George (Amanda) Chandler III of Hays; her 11 grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her sisters Roberta (Alan Matt) Favel of Grand Coulee, Washington, and Jackie Favel of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; her brothers Charlie (Rose) Favel of Small Boy Camp, Alberta, Canada, Larry (Rose) Favel of Rocky Boy, Billy Favel of Havre, and Robert (Joan) Favel Jr. of Rocky Boy; her aunt Shirley (Max) White of Hays; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
