Jake Huston is one of Havre High School's October students of the month.

Jake's school activities include basketball, baseball, tennis and Spanish Club. Outside of the classroom, Jake is involved with his church youth group and works at Subway. His hobbies and interests include sports, adventuring, hanging with friends and spending time with his family.

Jake was nominated by Jared Smith for continuing "to be an integral part of the Havre High community." Smith said, "whether it be offering his opinion to classroom discussion, maintaining good grades, or wearing a blue wig to maximize his school spirit, Jake continues to embody Pony Pride."

After high school graduation Jake plans to graduate from college and raise a stable family.

Sydney Scheresky-O'Neil is the other October Student of the Month at Havre High School.

The daughter of Jayce O'Neil and Lisa Scheresky-O'Neil, Sydney has a total of four siblings, Brett Normandy, 25, Shelly Normandy, 23, Sheridan Scheresky-O'Neil, 20, and Saige Scheresky-O'Neil, 15.

Sydney's school activities include Skills USA, M.B.I., Student Council, Close Up, Pep Club, Art Club and Spanish Club. Her hobbies and interests include fitting, grooming and showing cattle, fishing, watching Netflix and swing dance, and she really enjoys baking.

Sydney was nominated by Luke Thompson for being the "type of student that takes initiative." Thompson said Sydney is not only a "dedicated, hard worker, wise and disciplined in academics," she leads by example, having once helped some younger students understand the importance of using school-appropriate language.

After graduation Sydney plans to continue showing/judging livestock while attending Eastern Wyoming for pre-dental, and then she'll be off to either Nebraska or Colorado for dental school.
