Just weeks after a record-setting fall blizzard knocked power out for thousands of north-central Montanans, an outage lasting weeks for some, people in and near Havre had another outage Wednesday, this time only for a half-hour.
NorthWestern Energy spokesman Butch Larcombe said a problem at a substation east of Havre — he did not know the exact cause this morning — knocked out power just before noon for 1,935 customers in the east side of Havre and east of town.
The power was restored at 12:33 p.m., Larcombe said.
A meeting set by the Montana Public Service Commission to discuss the outage caused by the Oct. 2-3 storm, that knocked out power for some 9,500 NorthWestern customers from Chester to Malta, runs from noon to 2 p.m. Monday in Havre City Hall.
