Montana Taxpayers Association annual meeting

The Montana Taxpayers Association will be holding its 96th Annual Meeting Dec 6.

The meeting will be headquartered at the Great Northern Hotel in Helena.

Joseph Bishop-Henchman from the Tax Foundation in Washington D.C. will be the speaker at the noon luncheon.

The agenda topics following lunch will include:

• Montana Economic Sectors,; Patrick Barkey-University of MT;

• State Finances and Budget, Amy Carlson & Stephanie Morrison-Legislative Fiscal Division;

• Montana’s Changing Economy, Mark Haggerty-Headwaters Economics;

• Tourism in Montana’s Economy, Jeremy Sage-University of MT;

• Healthcare in Montana’s Economy, Bryce Ward, University of MT;

• Legislative Panel discussing Funding State Government, Senator Dick Barrett, Senator Mark Blasdel and Senator Llew Jones

• and Structure of Montana’s Tax Systems, Ferdinand Hogroian-Council on State Taxation (COST).

The meeting will wrap up with a reception and refreshments about 5 p.m.

On site conference registration will begin at 11:30. Pre-registration is now open by calling 406-442-2130. To attend, registration has to be in by Dec. 1.
