Six Ponies earn softball All-Conference

Blue Pony senior Kinzee Peterson named Class A All-State

The fastpitch softball season ended a few weeks ago for the Havre Blue Ponies, but the awards were still rolling in this past week.

The Central A released its All-Conference Team, and six Blue Ponies made the list.

Havre senior Kinzee Peterson, who smashed eight home runs this spring, was named First-Team All-Conference, as well as Class A All-State for the 2019 season, while sophomore Sydney Wilting was also voted First-Team All-Conference.

Three Blue Ponies made Second-Team All-Conference, with Peyton Brown, Lauren Kato and Sam Oliver making the list, while senior Janae Boles was named Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Class A state champion Belgrade topped the list of All-Conference players with eight, including four on the First Team and three All-State selections. Livingston had five players named All-Conference and Lewistown had four, including pitcher Macy Mangold, who is the daughter of Eagles' coach Mike Mangold, a former Big Sandy Pioneer and Havre Northstar great. First-year Belgrade head coach Andrea Folkman was named Central A Coach of the Year.
