Local Bowling Report: Local keglers do well at tournament in Ronan

Ten Pin Chatter

Before we get to this week’s scores I’d like to mention four Havre Bowlers who ventured to Lucky Strikes Lanes in Ronan this weekend. It was the 4-5-3 tournament, which works like this: Four people to a team who bowl five games. First, second and third games counts toward team scores, second, third and fourth games count as doubles scores and third, fourth and fifth games count as singles scores.

Well, the bowlers, Jeremy Johnson, Kyle Surber, Roman Surber and Justin Freide took 1st in team event. Jeremy Johnson had a 234 game, Kyle Surber had a 212 and 230, Justin Freide shot a 275 and a 221, great games but wait for this, Roman Surber rolled games of 245, 265, 268, 299 and 254. That’s a 1,331 scratch for five games, giving him an average of 266 for the five games. Totally amazing bowling. Kyle and Roman took third in doubles. Roman took first in both scratch and handicap singles events rolling 832 and 821 scratch series. Well done Havre Bowlers. You all represented Havre well. I’m sure there are no more questions of what type of bowlers we have in Havre. We have amazing bowlers. Now for this weeks scores.
