Havre Police Department

A hit and run crash damaging a Chevrolet Silverado on 14th Street was reported at 1:39 p.m. Monday.

A theft was reported by a Monday 3:04 p.m caller on First Street Northeast.

Collette Marie Stiffarm of Harlem, 33, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a Monday 3:41 p.m. caller at the hospital asked for assistance with a person brought in by ambulance.

Brett Warren Landon of Havre, 56, was arrested on charges of assault on a peace officer or judicial officer, with minor or no injuries; assault with a weapon, and resisting arrest after a caller on First Avenue West reported at 5:13 p.m. Monday that a man had shot a BB gun toward him and was yelling about someone trying to steal his property.

Elizabeth Rose Lara or Havre, 41, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after an 11:38 p.m. Monday caller reported suspicious activity involving an intoxicated woman on First Street.

Virginia Danielle Sanchez of Havre, 20, was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary, partner or family member assault, vandalism, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, resisting arrest and minor in possession after a disturbance involving a woman in a Grant Avenue house trying to break the door down was reported at 1:18 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported on Second Street Northwest in Rudyard Monday at 11:22 a.m.

Amber Victoria Standingrock of Havre, 26, was arrested on one federal warrant and two Justice or City court warrants, all issued at Hill County Detention Center Monday at 5:18 p.m.

A gunshot wound to someone's hand was reported at the hospital at 9:29 p.m. Monday. Undersheriff Stan Martin reported that the injury to the victim's left hand was sustained from an accidental discharge of a firearm.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Monday and one early this morning.

Firefighters responded to two calls Monday, one, a gas leak, at 6 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Second Street Northeast which was turned over to NorthWestern Energy and the other, a fire call, at 8:30 p.m. on the 1400 Block of U.S. Highway 2 East that turned out to be smoke from an improperly operating vehicle engine.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four male cats and three female cats, and five cats are being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held three male and one female mixed-breed dogs, a female dachshund, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male pit bull terrier, one 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, 9 11-week-old mixed-breed puppies and two 13-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, five 13-week-old puppies, a female 11-week-old puppy and a male dog, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
