Havre Police Department

A caller on 13th Street reported Tuesday at 8:10 a.m. that their vehicle was hit in a parking lot.

A summons was issued after a caller at Havre Middle School reported a juvenile with a vape device Tuesday at 10:50 a.m.

--

A summons was issued after a caller at Havre High School reported a juvenile with a vape device, cigarets and marijuana at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday.

--

Shayna Jo Marie Koop of Box Elder, 26, was issued a summons on a partner or family member assault charge after a Tuesday 2:18 p.m. caller on Smithville Road reported a family member had assaulted him and then drove away.

A caller at a First Street business reported at 2:26 p.m. Tuesday that someone had broken a vehicle windshield at 4:30 a.m.

--

A Sixth Street caller reported Tuesday at 3:54 p.m. that someone had put sugar in a vehicle tank.

--

Tuesday at 5:08 p.m. a battery charger was reported stolen off a quad on Boulevard Avenue.

Two arrests were made on Sixth Street at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday. No details on charges were provided in the dispatch log, but two people named as involved parties, Daniel Firstraised and Brittney Alice Bradley, were listed in this morning's jail roster, each being held on a federal warrant.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at Second Street and Twelfth Avenue at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday. Havre Fire Department also responded with a fire crew for standby and an ambulance. No one involved in the crash required transport to medical care.

Edwin Vernel Franklin of Havre, 62, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence during a 2:14 a.m. vehicle stop on First Street today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

NorthWestern Energy at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday reported a power line down 13 miles West on State Highway 448.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Tuesday and two calls early this morning. Firefighters provided support at a vehicle crash Tuesday at 7:19 p.m. at 12th Avenue and Second Street.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and one 4-week-old kitten, both of unknown gender, six male cats and five female cats. Another two cats were being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held eight mixed-breed dogs, a male 16-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male Chihuahua-Pomeranian cross, a 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier, and a male and a female 15-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, five 8-week-old Australian shepherd puppies, a male mixed-breed dog and a female Australian shepherd dog were being housed off-site.
