Havre Police Department

A Fourth Street caller asked Wednesday at 9:12 a.m. for assistance locating a 5-year-old who was missing, with the front door to the residence open, and the child was subsequently located.

A theft from the previous night was reported Wednesday at 10:56 a.m. at a First Street business.

A 15th Avenue caller reported Wednesday at 11:59 a.m. that someone had tried to break into the caller's shop.

Niles Duane Stiffarm of Hays, 31, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at the probation and parole office Wednesday at 2:55 p.m.

A caller on Fifth Avenue reported Wednesday at 3:14 p.m. hitting a juvenile on a bike and said the child stated they were fine and rode away. The driver reported pulling to the side of the road near Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street, and the dispatch log did not indicate any further action on the call.

Tamura Mitchell of Havre, 46, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after asking at 4:16 p.m. to speak with an officer and reporting at 4:17 p.m. that she was assaulted and being harassed.

Angel Anthony Villarreal of Havre, 35, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a Ninth Avenue caller reported a broken windshield at 11.27 p.m. Wednesday.

A caller on Ninth Avenue reported at 12:45 a.m. today that bikes had been stolen.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated an assault reported at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday at a Box Elder establishment.

Amos Jones of Havre, 41, was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault after a 36th Avenue Northeast caller reported Wednesday at 6:26 p.m. their significant other took their keys.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Wednesday and one call early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four female cats, 10 male cats and seven kittens between 4 and 11 weeks old.

The shelter also held four female dogs, three male dogs and six puppies from 10 weeks to 10 months old. Additionally, a 19-week-old puppy and a dog were being housed off-site.

Births

A boy was born Tuesday, June 13, 2023, to Shelby Denny and Keenan Stiffarm of Hays.
