Grief Poem - Don't Grieve

Two more dear folks flew off to You - they heard YOU call them home.

They worked real to do Your will - but no more Earth they'll roam.

'We're born to die'(1) the Good Book says, we're here to DO some work!

'Freewill' we have, turn left or right - just hope we're NOT a jerk!

Well, these two folks who flew away, they worked real hard each day!

There wasn't much they couldn't DO, and they knew how to pray.

Twenty plus, 'TIMES' are listed there; season for everything!

They did the best that they could do, including dance and sing!

Then 'cousin' lost her dear hubby, that grief did not last long,

A few months passed –then off she flew; 'we' sang their Birthday song.

Another guy left 'early', too; his health was NOT the Best!

His leaving shocked his family line - they now know he's at rest.

Wind comes and goes - seasons fly by - plus thoughts of 'special day'.

Remembering a special meal, served on a fancy tray.

Meadowlarks sing, birds love birdbath, reminds 'us' of you, 'love'.

Our dear one loved those birdie songs, but now he's flown above.

We eat and drink; recall God's word - that 'TIME' here, is 'HIS TIME'!

We do rejoice, aim to be good, then 'home', we'll fly - not climb!

"Don't grieve for me!" we heard a voice - "for I am going 'home'".

"And one day, soon, you'll join me here, no more on earth to roam!"

Another friend just flew to You, two days before Birthday!

Family and friends, all those she loved, met her with glad Hooray!

A joyous thought to bless our heart - so glad they'd been our friend.

Remember some really good times; we know some 'bonds' don't end.
