Havre Police Department

A Tuesday 7:47 a.m. caller reported a weed eater had been laying beside Ninth Street since Monday.

Items were reported Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. stolen from a pickup truck bed on 10th Avenue.

Kelley Marie Blatter of Havre, 41, was issued a summons on charges of reckless driving, failing to give notice of accident and failing to notify owner of damage to property after a First Street caller reported Tuesday at 2:33 p.m. that a GMC pickup truck had hit a power or telephone pole then took off. A NorthWestern Energy crew responded to the scene.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Found or lost property was reported on Washington Avenue at 8:12 a.m. Tuesday.

Found or lost property was reported on northeast of Eagles Park at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday.

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported at a U.S. Highway 2 West business Tuesday at 3:18 p.m.

Michelle Rose Jiron of Havre, 32, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, no vehicle insurance and operating a vehicle without valid registration after an 11:51 p.m. Tuesday caller on Clear Creek Road reported suspicious activity.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to seven calls Tuesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats and three 2-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, three female cats, two 17-week-old kittens, four male cats, two 15-week-old kittens and one 9-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held three 14-week-old puppies, two male dogs, four female dogs, an 8-month-old puppy, two 10-week-old puppies, a female St. Bernard dog and two female 6-month-old St. Bernard puppies, and nine 16-week-old puppies. Additionally, six 11-week-old puppies and a male dog were being housed off-site.

Births

A boy was born Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, to Holly and Zachary Barnes of Havre.
