Obituary - Beverly Kuhr

Beverly Kuhr died peacefully February 10, 2024, at the age of 93. She is now reunited with her husband of 73 years, Paul, who preceded her in death only two months earlier.

Beverly Louise Daum was born on April 22, 1930, at the Deaconess Hospital in Havre to Arthur and Helen Daum. A brother, Arthur M. was born later, and another brother died at birth. Beverly went to Havre grade schools and graduated from Havre High School in 1948. She worked for two years at the Hill County courthouse until 1950, when she married Paul J. Kuhr, also of Havre. After Paul graduated from Montana State College, now Montana State University, they moved to a ranch southwest of Havre. They were blessed with three children, Peter, Debora and Kimberly, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mother Teresa said "In this life, we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love." Beverly did so many small things with such great love for her husband and children. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, and a gracious hostess for family and friends. She was a voracious reader, and also loved sewing, knitting, and quilting. She loved to travel, and she and Paul were able to work travel in with their passions for square dancing and Dixieland jazz festivals, through which they made many life-long friends.

Beverly was a member of the Methodist church and a past member of Chapters V and AZ of the PEO Sisterhood. At her request, there will be no funeral service.

A joint memorial for her and Paul will be held in the spring. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
