Havre Police Department

A 14-year-old Havre boy was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and possession of drug paraphernalia after someone stopped at the police station Friday at 7:23 a.m. stating they wanted to press charges on a juvenile. The juvenile was transported to the Great Falls juvenile detention center.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Friday 9:32 a.m. caller reported a First Avenue business owner was not shoveling their sidewalks.

--

An 11:42 a.m. Friday caller reported finding a set of keys in the middle of Fifth Street.

--

Someone stopped at the police station Friday at 1:53 p.m. asking to file a complaint about insurance fraud.

--

A Friday 2:08 p.m. complaint from a 16th Avenue West caller about harassing phone calls from a group of people was referred to another law enforcement agency.

Officers searched for but could not find people reported to be drinking behind a First Street business at 4:25 p.m. Friday.

--

A dog bite was reported Friday at 6:28 p.m. at the hospital.

--

Officers provided assistance after an 8:39 p.m. Friday caller reported a row of vehicles was blocked at Havre High School.

Officers provided assistance after a caller at 5th Avenue and 19th Street reported they were unable to start their vehicle at 11:22 p.m. Friday.

Officers conducted an investigation after stopping a vehicle on Fifth Avenue at 11:26 p.m.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a noise complaint was made at 1:29 a.m. Saturday on First Street.

Darron Robert Morkrid of Havre, 52, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, improper left turn and open container after a 2:07 a.m. Saturday vehicle stop on the Seventh Avenue viaduct.

Guy Michael Williams of Denton, 20, was arrested on charges of DUI, careless driving, minor in possession, seat belt violation and traffic violation after a vehicle stop on Fifth Avenue at 2:39 a.m. Saturday.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a 3:47 a.m. Saturday noise complaint on Second Street.

A Third Street caller reported Saturday at 1:24 p.m. that two men tried opening the gate to the caller's yard then started knocking on people's doors. Officers searched for but could not find the men.

Blair Stacey Chiefstick of Rocky Boy, 32, was arrested on a charge of trespass to property and on a Justice or City court warrant after a Fourth Street caller asked Saturday at 3:55 p.m. for assistance.

Sherman Dean Alexander Sr. of Havre, 61, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after officers assisted an ambulance call at a First Street establishment Saturday at 6:32 p.m.

Meriel Rose English of Havre, 21, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation reported at the police station Saturday at 7:10 p.m.

A summons was issued to a 12-year-old Havre girl on a charge of juvenile curfew violation after a Seventh Avenue caller reported a juvenile runaway at 1:28 a.m. Sunday.

Jessical Lynn Demarrias of Havre, 34, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after a caller on Ninth Avenue asked Sunday at 7:25 a.m. for assistance with removing a woman from the premises.

Zackary Eagle Sutherland of Havre, 29, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants after a First Street Northeast caller reported Sunday at 9:39 p.m. that a man was stalking the caller's spouse outside their residence.

An arrest was made after a First Street vehicle stop at 1:59 a.m. today. No details on charges were available in the dispatch log, but Jacob Anderson, who was the only person listed in the jail roster as being arrested early this morning, was being held on charges of DUI, speeding and seat belt violation.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Friday, five calls Saturday and two calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to two calls Saturday, one a good intent call on the 1300 Block of Jefferson and the other a fire alarm reset on the 800 Block of Fourth Street.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held four cats all of unknown gender, five male cats, two female 9-month-old kittens, one female cat and a 6-month-old female kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held 10 mixed-breed puppies between 2 weeks and 24 weeks old, four female mixed-breed dogs and one male mixed-breed dog. Additionally, two 21-week-old puppies and one 7-week-old puppy were being housed off-site.
