ScoutsBSA hold Court of Honor

Recently, ScoutsBSA Troop 1406 - girls - and ScoutsBSA Troop 1438 - boys - held a joint Court Honor where Scouts were recognized for their achievements.

Senior Patrol Leaders for each troop, Chloe Corner, Troop 1406, and Orrin Greenwood, Troop 1438, were the co-masters of ceremonies where 19 merit badges, two awards and two ranks were awarded.

The following scouts earned the respective merit badges: Wyatt Anderson - Welding; Anthony Marsh - Automotive Maintenance; Orrin Greenwood - Camping, Inventing; Blake Marsh - Welding; Calvin Frye - Chess, Weather; Skott Williams - Chess, Inventing; Tallen Schend - Automotive Maintenance; Russell Petty - Automotive Maintenance; Jackson Siemens - Personal Management; Travis Huseby - Camping; Raina Borowiecki - Camping, Citizenship in the Community, and Chloe Corner - Welding, Archery, Climbing and Cooking.

Additionally three scouts were recognized. Travis Huseby received this First Class rank and Orrin Greenwood received the Star Rank. Calvin Frye was awarded the Totin' Chip and Firem'n Chit.

After the scouts were recognized Senior Patrol Leaders Greenwood and Corner, along with Scoutmasters Jody Corner, 1406, and Trevor Wilkerson, 1438, presented Charter Organization Representative Cliff Plum with the annual charters for Troop 1406, five years, Crew 2406, eight years, and Troop 1438, 75 years. All three scout units are chartered by First Lutheran Church in Havre.

Troop 1406 holds weekly meetings Tuesday nights at 6 p.m. and Troop 1438 holds weekly meetings Tuesday nights, at 7 p.m. These meetings are held in the fellowship hall in the basement of First Lutheran Church. All are welcome to stop by and learn more about the Boy Scouts of America's various programs.
