Havre Police Department

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Wednesday 7:17 a.m. caller on Second Street reported dogs barking.

Stephen Lewis Newbury of Havre, 43, was arrested on charges of probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer initiated contact on Ninth Avenue to assist another agency Wednesday at 10:14 a.m.

A written or verbal waring was issued after a caller at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday reported three people panhandling at a First Street business.

--

A Third Street caller reported Wednesday at 4:24 p.m. their dog had gotten bit.

--

A caller reported Wednesday at 4:26 p.m. finding a baggie of pills floating down the street on 17th Avenue West.

--

Officers assisted an ambulance crew on 10th Street at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

--

Jeremy Michael King of Hays, 41, was arrested on a pick up and hold order served on 13th Street Wednesday at 10:06 p.m.

--

A written or verbal warning was issued related to a noise complaint made at 2:11 this morning on Ninth Avenue.

--

Officers assisted another agency on U.S. Highway 2 Northwest at 4:45 a.m. today.

--

Officers also dealt with several calls about loose and nuisance dogs in the 24-hour reporting period.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies were called to U.S. Highway 2 East for an animal control issue reported at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies investigated an animal control issue reported Wednesday at 1:57 p.m. at the emergency room.

--

Lincoln Gregory Yarama of Dillon, 22, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served Wednesday at 3:58 p.m. on U.S. Highway 2 East.

Ryan Moses St. Pierre of Havre, 22, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants served on First Street at 2:30 a.m Wednesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two cats all of unknown gender, five male cats, two female 9-month-old kittens, one female cat and a 6-month-old female kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held 10 mixed-breed puppies between 3 weeks and 25 weeks old, five female mixed-breed dogs and two male mixed-breed dogs. Additionally, two 21-week-old puppies, five 4-week-old puppies and one 8-week-old puppy were being housed off-site.
